Youth Group

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example

for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

Middle and high school youth are welcome and encouraged to take an active part in the TCC faith community. Parents and caregivers team up with our youth coordinator to teach and develop activities that will help them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Youth Sunday School runs concurrent with the 11:00 am contemporary worship service in the Activity Center. Youth meet with the Youth Coordinator from 11:15 am to 12 noon In Building 555, also called the Youth House.

Lessons are bible-based and encourage discussion on ways they can feel confident to put into practice what they learn during the week.

Youth are encouraged to participate in worship services and church ministries by:

  • serving as greeters

  • serving as communion servants

  • serving as liturgists

  • volunteering for the JAM children’s program

Youth and families also participate in church and community service projects such as:

  • collecting and sorting food for TCC Food Pantry

  • collecting items for the homeless

  • visiting homebound folks in the community

Youth who are active in the church can be sponsored to attend summer camp at Warren Willis Camp and Conference Center in Fruitland Park, FL. Youth can also participate in retreats held at the camp during different times of the year.
